This is my first attempt on T-shirt with FolkArt range of fabric paint.
Here is what I have done for my mum last weekend.
Here I am, sharing the steps with everyone who comes in here.
Anyone who has not much drawing skill can try this out...
Materials
This are the basic materials I used.
Fabric Fun from Pentel
FolkArt Range of Fabric Paint
Textile Marker from ZIG(they come in a range of beautiful colours)
All the above can be obtained from any art shops, the recommended
one is Art Friend at Takashimaya.
One or two soft painting brushes.
of course... + your 100% Cotton T-shirt.
Step One
Draw the design you want on your t-shirt on any piece of clean paper.
Step Two
Step Two
Bold the design with a thick black permanent market (have to be permanent so as the colour does not run), make sure it is dark enough so that you can see the image after putting it under the T-shirt.
Step Three
Step Three
Using a Fabric Maker to outline your design.
Step Four
To prevent bleeding of the colours, please do not add water.
However, the paint is a little thick, do dip your brush into clean water before dabbing on the colours.
Use light strokes to create a shadowy effect.
Step Five
Step Six
The completed T-shirt - uniquely yours.
Wait for 24 hours for the colours to set.
Iron it to further set the colours. Do lay a piece of ironing cloth when ironing. :oP
Now you can wear your unique T.
